Double award win for Link at The Herald Society awards

Link was successful in two categories at The Herald Society awards on 28 October.
LinkLiving’s SmartLiving project won the award for “Service Provider of the year (working with under 24s)” and Linkwide’s Older Persons’ Advice Project (OPAP) won the award for “Service Provider of the Year (working with 65 + age group)”.
The Herald Society Awards ‘’recognise and celebrate the achievements, innovations, great partnerships and dedicated staff working every day to improve the lives of ordinary Scots’’.
SmartLiving is run by LinkLiving (part of the Link group) and is backed by funding from the Scottish Government’s Wider Role Fund, City of Edinburgh Council, Fife Council, Falkirk Council, The Robertson Trust as well as the Link Group. OPAP is also funded by the Scottish Government Wider Role Fund as well as Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Planning Partnership.
Link Group Chairman, Robert Robertson said: “These services have always led to significant improvement in peoples’ lives and we are pleased that others have recognised this. Many congratulations also to all the staff involved, not only those within the two projects but also to everyone else who has supported and engaged with them.”
