Attendees will be able to get a range of information on housing, health, jobs, benefits and training advice from a number of other organisations including Job Centre Plus, Impact Arts, Move On and Four Square. They will also be able have a free massage and have the chance to win some great prizes.
William Rountree, a student from Abertay University, who won the 2014 Commonwealth Digital Games Competition with his design “Your Moment” will be giving a talk and demonstrating his winning game.
Crew 2000, a drugs and alcohol information and advice service, will also be running fun taster sessions for their DJ workshops.
Claire Gardiner, EYPS Support Worker, said: “We are pleased to get so many organisations from across Edinburgh together and are delighted to have some special guests too. We hope that lots of young people will come along!"
The event has been organised by LinkLiving’s Edinburgh Young Person’s Service which has been providing practical, social and emotional support to vulnerable young people for over 30 years. The team offers support to around 400 young people each year and recognises that each young person is unique and so support is tailored to each individual’s own needs.
The event is on from 1.00 to 3.30pm and will be held at St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church, 58 Shandwick Place, Edinburgh EH2 4RT.
If you would like more information on the event or would like to attend please call 0845 002 0819.
