Reservation
Eligible purchasers can reserve one of the available houses by payment of a £250 reservation fee. The reservation period is six weeks within which time missives should be concluded on the purchase of the equity stake.
Priority Purchase
Link aims to help local councils address their local housing needs. Therefore priority will be given to purchasers from the following categories:
- Current public sector tenants (council, housing association or co-operative)
- Members of the armed forces, veterans who have left the armed forces with the past year and widows, widowers and other partners of service personnel killed in action for up to one year after their part
- First time buyers registered with a council or on Link's shared ownership waiting list
- Private sector tenants or lodgers
- General first time buyers
- Existing owners who need to move due to a significant change in their circumstances (e.g. separation from partner, ill health, need for larger accommodation, existing property forms part of a regeneration/ redevelopment area)
