What will happen after I accept a PSL property?
Tenancy visits
After you have accepted a PSL property you will receive visits during your tenancy.
- You will be visited within 7 days of starting your tenancy by one of the Link Edinburgh PSL Officers after which you will be visited every 8 weeks (unless you are between 16 – 25 years old, in which case your visits will be more frequent).
- You must ensure that you are available for these visits.
- If you miss a visit and are left a calling card you must call the Link Edinburgh PSL team on 08451 550 021 as soon as you can to arrange a time which is suitable for them to visit you.
Your responsibilities
Link want you to enjoy living in a PSL tenancy but you must remember that;
- You are responsible for complying with all conditions detailed in your Short Scottish Secure Tenancy.
- You are responsible for keeping the furnishings and property in good condition.
- You are responsible for ensuring that you, your family or people visiting you do not commit any form of Anti-Social Behaviour in or around your PSL property.
If you fail to adhere to any of the above then Link Group will take appropriate action which may include legal action to end your tenancy.
If you need any help or advice during your tenancy then please contact the Link PSL team on 08451 550 021.
Ending your tenancy
Your Tenancy can be ended in one of the following ways:
- Notice by You – You give Link 4 weeks written notice that you want to end your tenancy on the termination date. Link may accept notice of a shorted period and/or allow you to end the tenancy before the specified termination date at our discretion.
- By written agreement – By written agreement between you and us. You must tell us at the same time if you are married or if you live in the property with another person as husband and wife. If you do their agreement may also be required.
- A Pre-Termination inspection will be carried out by Link to identify any damage to furniture, fittings or surfaces. You will be asked to replace any damaged items (fair wear and tear accepted)
