Tenant led inspections

A Tenant led inspection is where tenants (independently from their landlords) inspect a service they provide in a professional manner.

It's a way for tenants to monitor and evaluate the performance of their landlord and be in a position to improve these services.

To do this, inspectors identify strengths and weaknesses of a service being provided and make recommendations on areas where improvements can be made.

A Tenant led inspection is not about inspecting individuals and making recommendations on the way they work, it is about reviewing a service and how effectively it is operating.

Results from 2010 tenant led inspection

In 2010, Link tenants carried out an inspection on the voids and re-lets process - from the termination of a tenancy by one tenant to the point where a new tenant took over. A feedback report was produced which tells you how the inspection influenced Link and how we improved our service.  Link to document.
