Falkirk Community Amateur Football Club was established earlier this year when it signed a deal with the Falkirk Foundation to become its sole amateur team. The club is working with the Falkirk Foundation and Falkirk FC on a number of projects within the community.

The club’s teams play in the Central Scottish Amateur Football Association and their home games are played at Falkirk Stadium.

Bryan McCarthy, committee member and assistant manager of  Falkirk FCAFC, said ''Falkirk CAFC is delighted to have secured sponsorship with a locally-based social enterprise such as Link and this will help us to develop and continue our growth as a club. Our unique partnership with the Falkirk Foundation and Falkirk FC has generated much excitement and has raised the profile of our club alongside that of amateur football.

For our club to continue developing we need these partnerships and we cannot thank Link and our other sponsors enough. Without them we would find it very difficult to maintain the high standards and quality of product that we are proud to offer our club members, as well as the magnificent facilities of Falkirk Stadium to visiting clubs.

On behalf of the club I would like to thank Link for this support and hope to continue and develop our partnership in future''.

Ross Martin, Link Group Chair, added: "Link has been involved in sponsoring community sporting initiatives for a number of years and we are proud to be supporting Falkirk Community Amateur Football Club – especially as there are some Link staff in the squad. We wish the team every success in the coming season.”

Link will be keeping a track of how the team gets on throughout the year - you can follow the team on Twitter @falkirkcafc.
