Help to Adapt open for business

The Scottish Government’s Help to Adapt scheme launched this week with managing agent Link Group Ltd’s team in place to help people aged 60 or over to adapt their home.

The Help to Adapt initiative encourages homeowners, aged 60 or over, to be proactive in adapting their homes to enable their long term independence and quality of life.

Uniquely it will help owners pay for the adaptations, by using the equity in their own home, and organise all the work for them.

The pilot will run initially in 12 local authority areas

  • Argyll and Bute
  • City of Edinburgh
  • East Dunbartonshire
  • East Lothian
  • East Renfrewshire
  • Falkirk
  • Glasgow City
  • North Lanarkshire
  • Renfrewshire
  • Scottish Borders
  • Stirling
  • West Lothian

If you or your organisation are in touch with people aged 60 or over who could benefit from the scheme, the Help to Adapt team would be delighted to take referrals, answer any immediate queries, provide further information and information leaflets.
