Link’s Dunbeg Development shortlisted for award

Link Group Ltd’s development at MacVicar Court, Dunbeg has been shortlisted for the ‘Affordable Housing Development of the Year’ at the Homes for Scotland Awards 2017

MacVicar Court comprises 25 homes for social rent including one and two-bedroom flats, two-bedroom semi-detached / mid terrace houses and three-bedroom end terraced houses. The properties are managed by Link’s subsidiary West Highland Housing Association.

Craig Sanderson, Link Group Chief Executive, said: “Our aim is to build homes that are places that where our tenants want to live - whilst designing homes that are visually stimulating, durable, adaptable and affordable to construct and to run. So, I am delighted that MacVicar Court has been shortlisted for the ‘Affordable Housing Development of the Year’ award.

MacVicar Court is a prelude to Link’s masterplan for the Dunbeg area where 600 new homes aim to be built in a sensitive expansion of the existing communities of Dunbeg and Ganavan. The Masterplan seeks to transform the Dunbeg Corridor area into a family orientated, vibrant and sustainable rural place where people will choose to live, work and visit and which is at one with its greatest assets of stunning landscape and heritage.

Winners will be announced at the Homes for Scotland Annual Lunch at the EICC on Friday 12 May 2017
