Link staff improve residents' communal garden

As part of Link Housing’s community volunteering project, staff cleaned up a garden area for tenants in Falkirk.

Volunteers from Link Housing worked with Linkscape to clear garden debris, remove moss from the walls, paint fences and garden huts, restore paving, lay chips and bark and replace the disused pond area with shrubs and flowers.

The gardens were in such a state of disrepair that residents were unable to sit out in the summer and make use of them.  The work carried out now allows residents to benefit from their garden and hopefully encourage tenants and staff to take ownership of maintaining the area.

Residents were delighted with the results, and are organising a garden tea party!
