Our awards and accreditations
- Investor in People Gold Award
We are an Investor in People, meaning we strive for continuous improvement through the management and development of our staff.
- Investor in Young People
We are also an Investor in Young People. This is the only people-management standard that focuses on an employer’s recruitment and retention of young people.
This represents a true commitment to the training and development of young people and demonstrates that Link is an employer of choice for young people.
- Investor in Volunteers
We have achieved the Investing in Volunteers standard and received a national award for quality in volunteer management.
This demonstrates we are committed to our volunteers and to the highest organisational standards of volunteering.
- Investors in Diversity
We are accredited as an Investor in Diversity - a nationally recognised equality and diversity accreditation that recognises excellence in this area.
- See me
We have signed the "See Me" pledge to tackle the stigma that can be associated with mental health issues.
Link particpates in Stonewall Scotland's Diversity Champion scheme, which provides employers with support to develop improved recruitment and employment practices for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people.
- Disability Confident
As users of the disability confident scheme, we guarantee to interview all applicants with disabilties who meet the essential criteria for the posts being advertised.
We are an equal opportunities and inclusive employer and welcome applications from all sectors of the community.

Training and work experience
We offer a number of volunteering opportunities, work placements and apprenticeships not only within Link, but with some of our contractors.
Our subsidiaries, LinkLiving and Horizon, offer volunteering opportunities which give participants the chance to learn or refresh skills while building confidence and self-esteem through helping others.
- Work placements
We work in partnership with a number of schools, colleges and training providers to offer work placements to pupils and students.
We also ask the contractors we employ to provide work placement opportunities to young people to help them gain experience in the construction industry.
We offer modern apprenticeships in business administration, housing, construction, social care and within our in-house trades team, Link Property.
The apprenticeships give young people the opportunity to begin their careers with Link and the chance to progress within the organisation.
Some of our contractors also offer apprenticeships as part of community benefits in procurement.
