Ross joined the Link Group Board in 2017
Ross has played a wide variety of roles in advisory, executive and leadership capacities, all of which have been focused on strengthening the resilience of Scotland’s economy through service design, development or delivery in academia, government, across the public, private and social sectors. He is currently engaged at the Scottish, UK and European levels, and is active in a number of local projects around the country.
Ross has a long track record of place-making and public service provision, with a range of roles which have engaged directly with the housing sector, including leading two of our most highly regarded local authorities, working with most of our major housebuilders and setting the policy context for housing through the planning system.
His ability to develop cross-sector collaborations has seen a range of initiatives flourish and his footprints can be found in many of our towns and cities through the delivery of socio-economic infrastructure, and in his work driving the inclusive growth agenda.
Ross spent his formative years in Wester Hailes, on the edge of Edinburgh (culturally, socially and economically – as well as physically as he described it) and although his childhood was a very active and happy experience, the setting taught him a number of valuable lessons regarding housing provision and its role within wider society which he hopes will help him contribute positively to the strategic development of the Link Group.
