Link’s third sustainability report highlights consistent progress

Link, one of Scotland’s largest housing and support service providers, has published its third annual report demonstrating its sustainability credentials across its business

The report outlines Link’s performance under the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria set out in the Sustainability Standard for Social Housing (SRS).

Link is also assessed annually by international residential consultancy firm RITTERWALD for the Certified Sustainable Housing Label accreditation

Link Group Chief Executive Officer Jon Turner said: “From the outset, when considering sustainability, the goal has been to embed meaningful aims into the organisation and foster a ‘business as usual’ approach to achieving these.

I am delighted to note this year’s report demonstrates sustainability is now central to how Link operate and how we will succeed in delivering our sustainable aims over the long term.

The report’s many case studies are evidence of sustainability being central to what we do.

Building new homes to net zero standards, while considering biodiversity and helping our tenants live well in their homes, are just some of the ways our teams have made a real difference to increase opportunity and wellbeing, whilst looking after our environment.”

Link Group’s Sustainability Manager Andy Jack added: “We are now using much more robust ways to measure our performance when it comes to sustainability, than at the start of our journey.

Whilst acknowledging there is always more we can do, we are proud of the progress made and recognition of becoming increasingly sustainable.”
