Our awards and accreditations

We are committed to the training and development of our people. We support and encourage them to reach their potential by participating in a number of accreditations and award schemes.

Healthy Working Lives Gold Award

We have been accredited with a Healthy Working Lives (HWL) Gold Award as we strive to promote Health and Wellbeing to staff across the business.

Investor in People Gold Award

We are an Investor in People, meaning we strive for continuous improvement through the management and development of our staff.

Investor in Young People

We are also an Investor in Young People. This is the only people-management standard that focuses on an employer’s recruitment and retention of young people.

This represents a true commitment to the training and development of young people and demonstrates that Link is an employer of choice for young people.

Investor in Volunteers

We have achieved the Investing in Volunteers standard and received a national award for quality in volunteer management.

This demonstrates we are committed to our volunteers and to the highest organisational standards of volunteering.

Inclusive Employers

Accredited Scottish Living Wage Employer

See me

We have signed the "See Me" pledge to tackle the stigma that can be associated with mental health issues.

Link participates in Stonewall Scotland's Diversity Champion scheme, which provides employers with support to develop improved recruitment and employment practices for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people.

Disability Confident

As users of the disability confident scheme, we guarantee to interview all applicants with disabilities who meet the essential criteria for the posts being advertised.

Training and work experience

We offer a number of volunteering opportunities, work placements and apprenticeships not only within Link, but with some of our contractors.

Our subsidiaries, LinkLiving and Horizon, offer volunteering opportunities which give participants the chance to learn or refresh skills while building confidence and self-esteem through helping others.

Work placements

We work in partnership with a number of schools, colleges and training providers to offer work placements to pupils and students.

We also ask the contractors we employ to provide work placement opportunities to young people to help them gain experience in the construction industry.

We offer modern apprenticeships in business administration, housing, construction, social care and within our trades team, C~urb Property Maintenance.

The apprenticeships give young people the opportunity to begin their careers with Link and the chance to progress within the organisation.

Some of our contractors also offer apprenticeships as part of community benefits in procurement.
