Hundreds enjoy free family fun at Link Group’s fifth Bathgate Summer Fun Day
Almost 500 people joined Link Group at Creamery Park on Saturday, 11 July 2026, for a relaxed afternoon of family fun and entertainment for the housing association’s annual Bathgate Summer Fun Day.
The fun day, now celebrating its fifth year running, gives families an opportunity to connect with their community while enjoying a day of free activities, food, and games during the summer holidays. Visitors enjoyed activities like face painting, bouncy castles, a sensory tent, football, and arts and crafts.
Link Group collaborated with the Link in West Lothian tenant group to plan the annual celebration, with Link in West Lothian Chairperson Jim Porter commenting that the day helps provide a strong tenant voice and makes Link more visible in the community.
He expanded: "Seeing so many families enjoying the day was brilliant. The event gave people the opportunity to connect with Link, learn about local services, and meet their neighbours while enjoying a fantastic, free day out. It's exactly the kind of housing and community-focused event that makes a real difference."
Link Group colleagues from their tenant engagement, housing, advice, repairs, and sustainability teams were joined by tenant and football club volunteers to run activities and information stalls for tenants. The event also gave attendees the opportunity to connect with local organisations, including Andy’s Man Club, 50+ Network, and Food Train.
